Chopper Spins Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Coast
A helicopter flying near a well-attended California beach suddenly started spinning out of control, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a row of palm fronds as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings uploaded on the internet show the helicopter beginning to twirl above the beach then plunging near the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were injured. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
